The Jutland Peninsula and many islands
Denmark lies in northern Europe and consists of the Jutland Peninsula, which connects to Germany, and many islands including Zealand and Funen. Copenhagen sits on Zealand, across a narrow strait from Sweden. The sea is never far away, and bridges and ferries connect the islands with one another and with neighbouring countries.
